Training Target Media

The choice of how training is delivered influences how the training is put together. You may often mix targets depending on when the training is delivered; the initial training may be with an instructor in a classroom, while refresher training could be either with a training manual or online. Here are some possible training media:

• Instructor-lead in a classroom
• Instructor-lead over closed-circuit television
• Instructor-lead streaming media (over network, intranet or internet)
• Online Windows Help for an application
• Online manuals (reference and specifically for training)
• Interactive online training such as CBT (Computer Based Training over a network or from a CD) or WBT (Web Based Training over the company's intranet or remotely across the internet
• Printed training workbooks including lessons and quizzes.
